Mrs. Garner's Notes

Last update of the year!

Where the love of learning is second nature!

Well, here we go into the last full 2 weeks together. What a crazy ride this year has been! Thank you for all of your help & support - that's what made this year so successful for everyone.

Please remind your child that we are still learning & we still need to do our best each day. It is getting harder to focus & listen, so this is when we must really use our self control & act more like 3rd graders.

**Our field trip to the Science Theater is this Wednesday, May 12th. Please join us for lunch at Vandergriff Park is you like. Students need to bring 2 drinks & a sack lunch. If your child has not turned in the money or permission slip please get that in by Wednesday morning.**

For recess & P.E. - students need to wear tennis shoes.

 Reminders for this week:

1. All library books must be returned or paid for before you will be able to get your child's report card at the end of the year. ALL fees for pictures, lunch, after care etc., must be paid in full to receive the report card.

2. Report card pick up will be on Wednesday, May 26th. I will let you know the time as soon as I know. If you are not picking up please send in a self-addressed envelope with at least $1.76 in postage. Those cards will be mailed that afternoon as long as no fees or money is due to the school.

3.Please be sure that your are checking & signing your child's agenda each night.

This week's learning:

   Important reminders:

Please sign the agenda each day.

If an assignment is listed as homework - it is homework - it was not completed at school. Homework is due the following day after it is assigned. Students will go to study hall during recess if homework is not turned in.

It would be great if each child could bring a small water bottle to school each day. This would really help after recess when we are all really thirsty.

Volunteers:

Volunteers should have received their calendars showing your days. Readers need to come by 10:15. The clipboard is to your left as you walk in the door. Read with the students who are marked for your day.

Clerical work will be in the basket to your right as you enter the class. Look over the list & complete what you can.

I truly appreciate all of the help & support that you all give.

**Thank you so much for reading all of our class information! The secret phrase this week is "humble" . Please tell ONLY me on Tuesday ONLY!**
